Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a 2026 action-adventure game developed primarily by Ubisoft Singapore and published by Ubisoft. A remake of the 2013 game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, originally developed by Ubisoft Montreal, it was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on July 9, 2026. Despite it being a remake of the original Black Flag, Resynced also acts as the fifteenth main installment in the Assassin’s Creed series, with its modern day story continuing the story arc that begun in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
It’s fair to say that the original Assassin’s Creed 4, thirteen years on from launch, has aged incredibly, to the point that many would argue that it is still far from actually needing a remake. But though Resynced might not be needed, it definitely justifies its existence thanks to how good of a game it is, plain and simple.
