Bittersweet’ is about the end of a chapter and the difficulty of coming to terms with it, while also recognizing that deep down you know it’s for the best — and finding peace in that along the journey.

In a livestream Beer revealed that the song revolves around the break up of a relationship. Even though you know it’s for the best, it still isn’t easy.

She shared that the song came together spontaneously on a random day, even though the album was supposedly finished. It emerged from personal struggles she felt compelled to put into writing. She then went on with her producer One Love and writers, she hadn’t worked with before, to create the song and to capture her emotions.
