McCreary, known worldwide for his work on God of War, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Outlander, and Battlestar Galactica, broke new musical ground in 2024 with the release of his hard-rock concept album The Singularity. The three-time Emmy Award winner played to packed houses around Europe in 2025 with his Themes & Variations tour (which featured selections from The Singularity).

The pop icon was forced to postpone the shows after being admitted to hospital for serious bacterial infection.
