New UK Urban Artist: Kris Evans. Debut Solo Single: ‘N.U.M.B’.
Kris has been making music since the age of 11 and at 14 he was spotted by UK Battle Rapper Shotty Horroh and co-signed to independent record label North City Entertainment. Kris later joined the band The Mend who were finalists on UK TV’s Britain’s Got Talent. They went on to have a Top 40 hit and support Little Mix on tour.
As a solo artist, Kris has returned to his Urban roots. He now writes and produces at his own studio where he also helps to develop other artists. Kris is focused on getting his music out to a wider audience and he has been playing acoustic gigs and shows with his live band across the UK to a great response. Kris recently headlined at the SONDER Urban Music Festival and is shortly to be announced as a lineup addition at several other festivals.
Kris’ unreleased tracks ‘Who’s That Boy IV’ and ‘Nothing Changes’ were picked up by BBC Introducing and the latter was named as Record Of The Week on DJ Charlie Sloth’s 1Xtra radio show.
Kris’ debut solo single ‘N.U.M.B’ was recently released via his own label. It has been described in one review as “a modern, distinctive track with classic influences”. The track is from Kris’ forthcoming debut album ‘360 Degrees’
