Top Gun: Maverick (Movie Trailer)
Top Gun: Maverick – Trailer for the latest eagerly anticipated Tom Cruise movie.
The new trailer for Top Gun Maverick sees Tom Cruise cheat death in a series of terrifying plane stunts – as well as giving the first look at the F-18 fight jet.
The dramatic clip opens with the Cruise – who has reprised his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell after 34 years – flying over some snow covered mountains.
It is then revealed he is taking on the role of instructor at a training detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialised mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen.
He will mentor Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: Rooster, the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka Goose.
In the 1986 film, Maverick flew a Grumman F-14 Tomcat but he has a new fighter in this film, which makes it debut in the trailer.
The fighter – a Boeing (originally McDonnell Douglas) F/A-18F Super Hornet, boasts increased agility.
Val Kilmer has reprised his role as Tom “Iceman” Kazansky in the sequel, which also stars Jon Hamm, Lewis Pullman and Charles Parnell.
