My journey into photography began humbly, just capturing moments on my cell phone. I would snap off pictures at every family gathering, big events, and little things that caught my eye like a beautiful sunset.

The story behind this Project is one of an experiment. The main focus is a gender fluid styling used to show how the wearer achieves to communicate its aesthetic universe through fashion and body language.

I wanted to tell the story of a Sicilian woman, a classic Mediterranean model with dark features from southern Italy. I was inspired for this editorial by this typical southern landscape, narrow streets
The editorial focuses on the contrasts of fabrics' textures, prints and colors styled accordingly to present the ruling trends. There is a coherent treatment of light and body language with the common denominator of the different shades and palette of sunset light, giving name to the editorial, l´heure dorée.
These photos were taken when James first moved to Los Angeles to follow his dream. Uprooting an entire life to follow the heart and to trust wholeheartedly in himself and wherever that may take him on this journey.
