Although “in my feelings” may be haley’s first introduction to the world as an artist and songwriter, haley is no amateur when it comes to music. The 18-year-old grew up in the music mecca of Nashville among a family of musicians. However, it was a spontaneous demo-recording last year with a local band that inspired haley to pursue music full time. Waving goodbye to her average high school days, haley embraced a senior year of homeschooling, and began splitting her time between Nashville and New York, hitting the studio whenever she could. haley soon realized making music was the path she was always supposed to be on – and now was the time to set her career in motion.
Quickly discovering a unique sound, haley has stepped away from the country roots she grew up around to find her own musical footing. In her debut effort “in my feelings,” haley’s soaring neo-pop vocals sit pretty atop catchy beats while still maintaining retro elements like a soaring guitar solo. The song’s vibey, r&b-tinged atmosphere serves as her perfect introduction. haley vassar’s music seamlessly straddles the future and the past – it’s nothing quite like anything you’ve ever heard before.
