This series of Fashion editorials taken at Hyde Park Sydney, was inspired by the surge of nostalgia for the days of yore a Sydney girl’s dream of becoming a Sexy, Confident, Sassy and Effortlessly Cool Millennial Diva.

In a radiant portmanteau of confidence and self indulgence, showcasing Sydney’s latest Fashion pieces from youngsters most popular brands such as Boohoo, Bardot, affordable luxury earrings from Lovisa, shoes from Famous Footwear and few fabulous Summer Kimonos from Styled by Shom Boutique.

Undeterred to exhibit her vibrant Diva self, she is dressed in new silhouettes such as a mini cropped jumpsuit with deep plunging V-necklines and dares to wear Bold Statement Chain Prints or bright bold colors. The Hot Pink Suit by Boohoo portrays the image of a Successful Millennial Boss Lady of the modern 21st Century, while both the strapless jumpsuit with waist tie and the Asymmetric one shoulder black cocktail dress are easy head turning looks to wear for any smart casual occasions or cocktail parties, day or night, while the versatile Kimonos can be styled up effortlessly with just casual denim shorts and singlet, matching with a pair of sexy stilettos.

Hyde Park was chosen as the perfect location to represent a sophisticated and classy but laidback backdrops for these series of Modern contemporary looks as it is a symbolic heritage-listed urban park and the oldest public park located in the central business district in Sydney Australia.

One of the most iconic highlights was the park’s Archibald Fountain, a flamboyant 1932 erection set in a large pond depicting a bronze Apollo and other gods and mythological creatures such as Poseidon (God of the sea), Diana (the huntress), Theseus and and the Minotaur and Jason and the Golden Fleece.

The magnificent view overlooking the St Mary’s Cathedral from the Archibald Fountain of Hyde Park is incomparable. St Mary’s the greatest length of any church in Australia, Despite the high-rise development of the central business district, the cathedral’s imposing structure and twin spires make it a landmark from every direction. Designed by William Wardell and built from 1866 to 1928, St Mary’s Catholic Cathedral was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 3 September 2004.

These Majestic and iconic backdrops sets the scene for turning these edgy fashion pieces into laissez fairs, and timeless elegant presence. It resonates the iridescent contrast of fashion and age.

About the Photographer

Alice Song grows up from Sydney Australia. She is in constant pursuit of capturing beautiful, creative and artistic fashion images. Combining years of experience as a Fashion Designer, and spent times in New York for her accreditation from the New York Film Academy in Photography, as well as Sydney’s Whitehouse Institute of Design in Fashion Design, Alice has an aesthetic eye which brings out the beauty and the attitude in every subject of her photographs.

Alice has travelled widely and is inspired by Global Fashion, Photography, Travels, Design, Art, Global cultures and People, she enjoys collaborating with new people and photographing new faces. Having a true passion in Fashion Editorial Photography as it gives her the freedom to unleash her creativity in styling and allowing her to experiment with various lighting as well as trying new angles to shoot in capturing some the most iconic statement photographs in her Portfolio.

She looks forward to traveling to more iconic cities in hopes of continuing in growing and extending her Fashion Editorial Photography works to showcase the fascinating beauty of Timeless Fashion of the 21st Century as well as documenting and bring awareness to some of the most precious and historical architectures and buildings on our under-appreciated Planet Earth.
