(Los Angeles, CA) – Following a two year hiatus, TiRon & Ayomari present their new album WET (The Wonderful Ego Trip). WET, releasing via The Cafeteria Line, is a concept album about the human ego. It features singles “It’s A Trip,” “Airplane Mode,” “2 Petty” & “WZUP! ft. Jack Davey; which collectively have more than 400k streams. “Our individual and collective superiority complexes aid in the destruction of our habitat,” the group says. “Our world is ego tripping as a collective right now, and many of the personal hardships in our lives are tied to this egoic state of mind we all operate in.” WET was executive produced entirely by The Flavor, which consists of TiRon, Ayomari & TheeKidSpex.
The group has been celebrated by the likes of Earmilk, 2DopeBoyz, Vibe, and Ambrosia For Heads. The music video for first single “It’s A Trip” is a fun, summertime-themed short capturing the emcees selling water bottles from an ice cream truck to water-crazed customers. The bottled water symbolizes ego. “The video is about how everyone is addicted to the ego — members of religious institutions, law enforcement, everyone. No one is exempt,” TiRon & Ayomari say about the clip directed by Karl Richter for Cynical Smile and produced by Tim Birkhofer. “We are the suppliers of our ego, and we are currently overdosing.”
