Brown/nude and Red lipstick has been a trend with celebrities and influencers for years now. The range of browns seen varies from matchy-mannequin to is-it-nude-or-pinkish red. So how do you choose the right lipstick for your skin tone?
While brown, nude and red is a universal color that can be worn by anyone. In this beauty editorial I wanted, to create the most natural look for the model’s skin tone. Our lip colors are enhanced with a degree of warmth, that’s why pink-browns are always recommended no matter your skin tone or color. The beauty of brown lipstick is that they allow natural looking color even when a brighter undertone is included.
For model (Danille) we went for golden chocolate by Becca, this example of a vivid brown gives a youthful appearance to the lips.
For look 2, Shade Mia by Urban Decay, gave off a beautiful shiny and vibrant texture to the lips. Olive skin tones, tend to have green undertones, suiting a more orange-red. A shiny rather than matte texture helps the lipstick to stand out on darker skin and enhances the color.
Both looks, are for all ages and skin tones making each look very classic and trendy.
