From releasing her self titled debut album in 2012 to a 4 track concept EP in 2015, which caught the eye of Chris Payne (Gary Numan/Visage) whom immediately signed her to his publishing company The Electronic Music Library as a freelance writer, along with BBC Introducing making her part of their ‘Playlist Of The Year’ and Andy McCluskey (OMD) championing her songs with a glowing review, while also securing an outstanding feature in The Electronic Sound Magazine, She’s Got Claws is back with her second album release War Torn.
This album’s first single Armchair Generals, which is a firm favorite with her fans, tells the story of how many spectators of war hold no compassion for the families who are fleeing in desperation to save themselves and their loved ones. The second track to accompany this single release is No Justice which perfectly compliments Armchair Generals with its fractured beats and sleazy infectious synth hooks firmly sitting alongside Goldfrapp, Ladytron with echoes of Sneaker Pimps. No Justice is too good to be called a B Side so this is being released as a double A-side.
War Torn is her best work to date. She’s Got Claws melds the classic electronic era of the 70s and the early 80s with an up to date feel and angst attitude which doesn’t hold back any punches with her production, there is also a very strong political message throughout.
The release of this album is being funded by pledgers on Pledge Music. A percentage of the pledging is going to UNICEF to help the children & families fight to survive in these times of war and conflict. It is a very up to date concept which is part of our news headlines every day. War Torn will be released early 2018. Armchair Generals is due for release as a download on 30th November. Available to buy from iTunes, Amazon & streamed from Spotify and Apple Music.
