I’m always looking for an excuse to shoot at night. I love the way lights respond under this circumstances. It’s like an empty canvas, where you light whatever you want people to see. That also adds mystery.
The night was the perfect excuse to put together an story about a hunting women, who changes outfits depending the occasion, always looking for her prey. She was out, looking for nothing, looking for something, looking for anything. An starving woman that doesn’t trust anybody. The darkness was a nice element to play with lighting to enhance her different faces.
Natsuko was perfect to portrait the chameleon women that I was looking for. The make up and styling were right on. The perfect team with the right energy to make this happen that night.
Chameleons are a distinctive and highly specialized clade of lizards. They are always aware and ready to for anything. They are like statues, always hiding and always hunting.
When you think you learn the way she moves, you realize that she was already somewhere else. Try looking in to her eyes and you’ll be gone. Even when you feel your body, that body is not you anymore. How come? Don’t ask, just avoid looking into her eyes. Even without speaking she’ll eat you inside out.
“I own the night. here’s my territory. I’m on my own and I change as I pleased. looking into my eyes will electrify you inside out. I’m a hunter and you are under my rules, it’s something you can’t decide or change, it’s the wait it is. I can’t even change it. this is how I live and the way you’ll survive. I’m you, I’m he, I’m she and I’m it. you’ll never get me cause at the time you think you beat me, I’ll be gone. I’m ready”.
